Sassy Sez ~ A Purrfectly Honest and Unbiased Review

Hello, My name is Sassafras. Thank you Twix for letting me be part of TKC newsletter. I will rate each product based on the following criteria:
Quality, Availability, Durability, Price, and most importantly, THE FUN FACTOR!!! At the end of each review I will give the product a rating of 1-5 Mice.
1 Mouse=Dirty Litterboxish
2 Mice=Good for 30 seconds only
3 Mice=OK if theres nothing else to play with
4 Mice=YAY! Score!
5 Mice=The. Best. Thing. Ever. Invented.

For my second review, my sister Phoebe insisted that I take a look at her favorite toy, the Cat Dancer.

What is it?
The Cat Dancer is simply a 35 inch long piece of wire with six pieces of cardboard that can move along the wire. Pretty simple, right? When we first took it out of the package we thought it was waaaay to simple to be any fun. Well it may not look like much, but let me tell you, we had so much fun with this thing it should be illegal. The Cat Dancer can be an interactive toy for both kitty and human, or you can just use it to entertain yourself. It can be twirled in circles, or works great for a game of Keep Away, but my favorite way to use it is to lay on my back while my Mom taps it on either side of me and I roll around to catch it. The Cat Dancer comes in a few different varieties, The Original described above; the Cat Dancer Compleat comes with a paw shaped pad that can be used to hang on a door or wall; and a new version, the Catnip Cat Dancer has a green plastic catnip mouse on one end. The one with the paw is great for a kitty who is home alone for most of the day, and the new mouse one makes it easier for the human to hold in their hand for longer play sessions! We have found in our house that this is a great toy for a cat with aggression problems. If a cat gets bored it can sometimes start to hunt other housemates, and the Cat Dancer can be whipped out at a moments notice to distract to aggressor and save the hunted. My Mom keeps one tucked in the couch cushion so at night when Phoebe gets wild she can distract her. We love it for quick 15 minute play sessions before Mom leaves for work, or to tire us out in the evening so we don't keep her awake at night. The Cat Dancer is very affordable (from $3. for the original to $7.50 for the Catnip) and is widely available online and in pet stores. (amazon.com, Petsmart, www.catdancer.com and more).

Pros: inexpensive, durable, easy to find in stores, very versatile--many different ways to use it, never get sick of it.
Cons: couldn't find any

So the Cat Dancer gets a rating of 5 Mice!!!

The Kitties' Club Show with Ruben

Instead of doing the show in the Show Room, on the forum, I have decided to make it apart of the newsletter. Yes I know, doing it like this will make it seem a little dry, but you can still comment on it, and I am still taking requests, if anyone would like to be a guest.

(Twixy) What are your favorite things to do?
(Ruben) My favorite things to do are Take naps, Watch birds, Eat , Get into places I shouldn't be, Harass my canine sister Misty and play with my the little bird mom keeps on a string for me.

(Twixy) Do you have someone special to spend with on Valentines Day?
(Ruben) I met a kitty girl about two years ago here on Catster and her name is Mugsy. I am hoping I will get to spend some time with her on Valentines day.

(Twixy) If you do, please tell us what she’s like?
(Ruben) She is a wonderful, Sweet, and very brave. She climbs trees and even caught a mouse once. I am such a lucky kitty to have her as my kitty girlfriend.

(Twixy) What’s your favorite outfit to wear?
(Ruben) Hm I like my sailor outfit the best. I think I look handsome in it and I always get good reviews when I wear it.

(Twixy) Do you wear your outfits all the time or only when taking pictures?
(Ruben) No I don't wear outfits all the time. Mom just puts them on me for pictures. Sometimes I wear bandannas around for special occasions but that's about it.

(Twixy) What was that day like when your Mom first found you?
(Ruben) It was the best day of my life. I had been outside for pretty much all day and my little feet were sooo cold. Can you imagine standing on frozen ground with no where to put your feet to keep them warm? I was originally going to be moms Nephews cat because he had always wanted a kitten but I wouldn't stop fallowing her around. I had an accident on the nephews bedroom floor and he lost all interest in me anyway. I am the most spoiled kitty in the world now because mom is such a softy.

(Twixy) What’s your favorite things to do on Catster?
(Ruben) I LOVE making new friends as I'm sure you can tell by the amount of friends I have. What I really love is when the cats you invite to be friends actually write you a cat mail because sometimes you make a friend but never hear from them. I also love hanging out in the Late, Late show because I get to see all of my best pals.

(Twixy) You mentioned in your diary about your mom buying you a kitty stroller, what’s it like being a stroller kitty?
(Ruben)Mom hasn't gotten me a stroller yet unfortunately. She is going to wait until it gets a little closer to summer since its all snowy and cold out. I am excited about it because I love to be outside and mom is always taking Misty on walks so now I will get to go. I'm pretty sure she is going to get a pink one so I hope other kitties don't make fun of me.

Newly Weds Tweak & Dashiell on Five Things They Love About Each Other

Newy weds, Tweak & Dashiell, got married on January 21st in The Social Cats Group....Don't they make a cute couple?

I don't know what I like best about Valentine's Day, because I never got to celebrate it before. I can't wait for Valentine's Day this year, so I can find out!

2What I mean is that this will be my first Valentine's Day with my furever family, so it's the first Valentine's Day that I will get to enjoy! Last year, at the shelter, I didn't have much to celebrate, and the Valentine's Day before that I was outside somewhere and didn't even have a warm place to sleep. . . . But now I am a princess and I

Catster Crush: I don't think this will surprise anyone at all but for me it is the lovely and sweet Kayleigh, For Floyd it would be her equally lovely and sweet sister Kassidy, and for Jet she says there is no one else in the world that she would feel this way for except Cole....

Favorite thing about Valentines Day: It's just a great day. It is a day to show someone that you love and have feelings for how you truly feel about them. There is only good things about Valentines Day. And knowing you have that special someone to share it with is just one of the greatest things you can experience. It is a day meant for nothing else then to show someone how much you care for them.
